Diversity in Thailand (DIT)
Diversity in Thailand is an extension of the work of the Bangkok Rainbow Organization to drive gender diversity in dimensions beyond HIV/AIDS, Human Rights, focusing on career opportunities for people with gender diversity.
Received a budget to drive by The CFLI is a program (The Canada Fund for Local Initiatives)
Trans-Progression Phase 1
The “Trans-Progression Phase 1” project is open to individuals, groups, and organizations to join as partners in various fields, such as media, joint activities, and outreach.
Activities carried out
1. Organized 24 online meetings in various formats such as seminars, training, discussions, and networking.
2. Create a database to collect companies and business units that accept Trans women to work.
3. Organize a Business Forum to discuss career advancement and ways to improve career opportunities and reduce gender bias in the workplace.
4. Organize “Mentoring by Leading Business Women”, a specific training activity for groups to open up working perspectives and working ideas of female business executives to Trans Women individuals.
3P : Pride-Public-Private Inclusion
Diversity in Thailand and Bangkok Rainbow Organization, together with TransTalent, organized the 3P: Pride-Public-Private Inclusion Seminar & Workshop. The event was held in Phuket and Khon Kaen provinces, with over 100 attendees, including interested parties from the government sector, business sectors in the provinces, and LGBTIQ+ representatives living in the provinces where the event was held.
Not only that, this event also received participation from both local and national news agencies.
The result is the visibility of legal limitations, company regulations, and local beliefs, all of which are common grounds for understanding, leading to the reduction of limitations, problems, and obstacles. This leads to a lack of acceptance of gender diversity, which is the cause of many lost opportunities, both in the government, business sector, and quality personnel who are not limited by gender.
